- My name is Anthony Ho. I was born in Hong Kong in 1976. I have just completed my second year of studying at the Seminary of Christ the King in Mission.
The Seedbed of Vocation
When I was in Hong Kong, I studied at a Salesian high school, and this was truly the seedbed for my vocation. During my high school years, I met some holy and zealous priests whose devotion to the Holy Eucharist and to Mary was a great inspiration for me. With the encouragement of a Salesian priest, I began my consideration toward the priesthood.

- Apostolic Works & Entrance into Seminary
I came to Vancouver with my family in 1993, and I entered the seminary in 1998. 1 was privileged to have done some apostolic work before my entrance into the seminary. I had started a private Chinese prayer group and taught Catechism to Chinese people from different age groups. I strongly emphasized the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, the Sacrament of Penance, and devotion to Our Lady because they are the three most effective means given by God for our conversion and sanctification. It is my desire to love God and to save souls through these means which lead me to eventually enter through the doors of the seminary.
Prayer - my greatest support
Prayer, especially the Holy Sacrifice of Mass and the Holy Rosary, is my greatest support in the seminary. I also like to reflect on the Passion of Jesus and to read the hagiography (i.e., lives of the saints). In the seminary, I enjoy learning about the teachings of Sacred Magisterium. Prayer and study are the two main activities of my daily life in the seminary. The seminary is a place which enables the seed of God's vocation to grow into maturity. Please support the seminarians with your prayers.
