Who We Are We are a community of diverse people-vowed women religious, women and men associates, and a widening circle of family, friends and co-workers striving to live the gospel of peace in its mission of justice. In the context of community, peace manifests itself in a spirit of love, friendship, joy and warm hospitality B among ourselves and extending outward to all we meet. Our Mission The Gospel of peace in its mission of justice guides our lives as Sisters and Associates of St. Joseph of Peace. In accord with our tradition, we commit ourselves to promote peace in family life, in the church, and in society. We strive to respect the dignify of all persons, to value the gifts of creation, and to confront oppressive situations. We respond to God's people in need and promote social justice as a way to peace. Where We Are The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace numbers about 400 Sisters and Associates, organized in three provinces: Our Lady Province: the West Coast - Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada. Sacred Heart Province: England, Scotland and Ireland; St. Joseph Province: the East Coast- mainly New Jersey, New York, Maryland.
